Speaker Farrokh Shokooh, PhD, PE, Life Fellow of IEEE, CEO and President of ETAP
Topic Info

The new IEEE 3002 Dot Standards provides specific recommendations for conducting power system studies and analysis based on the latest software technologies. The focus of this presentation is on load flow, short circuit, motor starting, and harmonic studies of large industrial facilities. Topics to be covered include:

  • Purpose of the analysis from system design and operation perspectives
  • Calculation methodologies for the different studies
  • Modeling methods and data validation
  • Required and optional data for elements
  • Data collection and preparation
  • Applicable standards and solution parameters
  • Analysis of study results
  • Illustration of IEEE 3002 Example project

Speaker Bio
