Integrative Medical Massage - Integrative therapies to release chronic tight muscle & scar tissue
on June 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Ms. Maryann Burcar of RejuVitize
Join us, for an interesting look into a new innovative approach that successfully treats chronic muscle tightness, lingering pain or scar tissue of the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, back, hips, legs, knees, ankles and feet.
Integrative Medical Massage is a customized, integrative approach that combines effective bodywork techniques to relieve musculoskeletal problems. The individualized treatment may include Rolf Structural Integration, Tui Na, smooth stainless-steel tool work, stretch cupping or Stephenson’s method. Combining these methods, make it possible to get to the root of the problem, speed up the healing process and bring about long-lasting relief for the patient.
This will be a fun learning event that will bring up questions about why your body is causing you pain, chronic tightness or limited range of motion. And will offer a practical, medication-free, long lasting solution to correct the problem. If you or someone you know has annoying pain, tightness or chronic restriction of movement in the body, and are fed up with temporary medication or relief therapies, then this presentation is for you.
Ms. Maryann Burcar is the sole proprietor of RejuVitize, an integrative medical massage clinic located just off the I-15 freeway at Miramar Road, in San Diego, CA
She previously earned a BS and MS degree in electrical engineering (magnetics) and worked in the wireless and communications design industry for 21 years. During that time, she developed a chronically tight “frozen” neck & shoulder problem that eventually got so bad that she could only turn her head about 20 degrees to either side. The medical doctors only offered to inject it full of Botox, but without addressing the root cause she knew this would not be a long-term solution.
She searched everywhere for help and finally walked into an integrative medicine clinic. Skeptical, but fed up with her annoying neck issues, she agreed to have the therapy done. The practitioner used these tools on her neck and shoulder area and after only 4 return visits, she could turn her head to both sides with full range of motion. It was almost as if there had never been a restriction or problem there at all!
So, while still working full time in engineering, she went back to college and earned the degree and certifications that would allow her to help others with chronic tightness, scar tissue or joint problems.
Maryann still enjoys working in engineering and does some technical consulting but, considers her second, exciting career working with anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and integrative medicine to be a new, interesting challenge.
